REAL VC BEL AIR, 350 V8 WITH 4 BARREL CARB, ORIGINAL TWO TONE COLORS, TH400 AUTO

A VC-code 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air sedan with upgraded small block V8 power is already pretty darn exciting. So when it looks ready for the streets and the price is so obtainable, you know it's a deal that's quite nice.

The '55 Chevy has remained the enduring motoring icon because of how well it represented what we wanted in the '50s - great colors, plenty of chrome, and rocket-inspired designs. And this one does it quite well. The first thing that strikes you is the two-tone. The trim tag tells us that India Ivory and Harvest Gold is the factory-correct color combo, and a later respray means it still knows how to attract attention. And the way the range-topping Bel Air uses the premium trim as a separating line is a masterstroke. The '55 Chevy launched the legendary Tri-Five era with the wide grille, form-fitting bumper, and curvaceous hood with a fighter jet ornament taking off from the center. In the rear, there's an artful design with just the right amount of tailfin. It's all quite complete with a driver-ready sense of presentation. That's important because you can also see the right hints of upgrades for a cooler cruiser. The dual exhaust tips, blue-dot tail lights, and Rally ... Please ask for the full description.

The dual exhaust tips, blue-dot tail lights, and Rally wheels are subtle upgrades that tell you this one is ready to hit the road.

Inside is a factory-correct green interior. It's another great 1950s tone, and the hue seems to harmonize nicely with the exterior yellow. Plus, just like the exterior, its level of completeness is amazing. So you get plenty of bright trim, door panels that mimic the exterior style line, and an artful steering wheel. The Corvette-inspired dual cowl dash still even has the original AM radio cranking out tunes. So if you have friends and family that appreciate a true classic, this sedan gives everyone plenty of room to come along for the ride. And because this is a true cruiser, there is a removable cup holder center console added for the right amount of driver convenience.

One of the big reasons this is such a good cruiser is because of what's in the engine bay. The '55 Chevy is coveted for launching the small block era, but it never received something like this from the factory. Not only is the 350 cubic-inch motor larger than stock, but also it has been enhanced further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. This extra dose of power makes for a sweeter sound out of the dual exhaust. Plus, the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission is a fine choice for an upgrade because it's both stout and smooth.

Complete with maintenance records, this Bel Air has a classic look and feel, but it also gives you the right hints of upgrades to make sure it's a better cruiser. So you have a true icon represented correctly and offered at an affordable price. Don't miss out, call today!
