FUEL-INJECTED LT1, 700R4 O/D, 9" FORD, SLEEK LOOK, VINTAGE A/C, TUBULAR A-ARMS

Do you ever just look at a car and say, “Yes!” With its sleek metallic paint, awesome custom interior, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, overdrive transmission, and fuel-injected V8 power, this rare 1967 AMC Rambler American Convertible Restomod fits in with the pony car crowd but gallops in its own direction.

A Rambler already seems like a rare sight on the classic car scene, and we bet you can't even remember the last time you saw a convertible version. They rivaled the Mustang drop-top in price, and so only about 920 were sold. Oh yeah, Ford made almost as many Mustang convertibles in a week as AMC Rambler did all year! But that's not rare enough for this one because it has been turned into a true custom one-of-a-kind. You see this difference immediately in the unique exterior. The shining chrome bumpers are a nicely integrated piece borrowed from a 1971 Corvette. The tail lights are from a 1969 Corvette mounted so cleanly they look stock. And here are other sleek details, like the billet grille, deleted rocker trim, and shaved door handles. Since this is going for a slicker kind of presentation the paint is a professional application of a very smooth and glossy silver. ... Please ask for the full description.

FUEL-INJECTED LT1, 700R4 O/D, 9" FORD, SLEEK LOOK, VINTAGE A/C, TUBULAR A-ARMS

Do you ever just look at a car and say, "Yes!" With its sleek metallic paint, awesome custom interior, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, overdrive transmission, and fuel-injected V8 power, this rare 1967 AMC Rambler American Convertible Restomod fits in with the pony car crowd but gallops in its own direction.

It's all quite a thoughtful and well-assembled custom build. They took the time to get the details right. That's why the carbon fiber wrap on the hood and trunk goes well with the black folding roof. And while the polished American Racing Torq Thrust wheels look right on a classic, the larger 17-inch size means you get to fit the best in modern performance tires.

You have remote door openers on a key fob, and that is your gateway to a full custom interior. It's a fresh and inviting style anchored by well-bolstered late-model seats with comfy velour inserts. It has all the best in modern cruising features, like an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, a power convertible top, cup holders, an armrest center console, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) Just like the exterior, this also has thoughtful little things, like a fold-down armrest for the rear seats and a proper convertible boot cover. But what you'll like best of all is how they made sure this was a truly engaging driver. You have a banjo-style sports steering wheel, a tilt column, a cool/custom floor shifter, and a full set of Dakota Digital readouts.

The Chevy bumpers and tail were not just about style; they were also a hint at the upgrade under the hood. The ultra-clean and smooth inner walls of the engine bay put the 5.7-liter fuel-injected LT1 motor on full display. That means a serious upgrade to the growl of the dual exhaust and a serious power boost to this lightweight Rambler body. But more than just extra muscle, the modern powerplant also adds reliability. And you combine this with the upgraded suspension that includes a Mustang II-style tubular A-arm front end, rear traction bars, and adjustable coilovers all around. Now you have the recipe for an awesome driver. Plus, there are other great any-time enjoyment upgrades like rack & pinion power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

Unique, beautiful, rare, powerful, and an all-around driver - this is the best of everything. And if you hurry, it can all be yours. Call today!!!
