239 FLATHEAD V8, 3 SPEED MANUAL, UPGRADED FRONT SUSPENSION, CUSTOM TOUCHES!

This 1951 Ford Coupe does a terrific job of being a period-correct street machine. With plenty of red paint, a sleeker style, the right accessories, and a legendary flathead V8 under the hood, it's a rolling icon.

The '51 Ford has always been a popular one with the custom car scene because it really represents the first piece of automotive optimism after WWII. But to get this right it takes someone with an eye for detail. It starts with the desirable coupe body. These have a long trunk and symmetrical profile that loves some super smooth details. That's why they expertly eliminated the badging, shaved the door handles, moved the trunk hinges, and frenched the antenna and headlights. And that's just to look sleeker. The full custom build seemed to fulfill the full wish list of 1950s cruiser upgrades with dual spotlights, blue-dot tail lights, rear fender skirts, faux lake pipes, and polished dual exhaust tips. And the upgraded floating grille puts a nice face forward. The red paint is a clean and sleek but older application. We like it because it looks good while still making sure we're not afraid to cruise this coupe. And you'll discover that this one really likes to drive. ... Please ask for the full description.

That's why there are modern touring tires behind the classic wide whitewall style.

The interior was given a nice update that looks stylish while still respecting the Ford's vintage roots. For example, you still have the stock dash design, two-piece windshield, and distinct steering wheel. Even the classic AM radio is still there for a display. But you can also see a well-coordinated style with the full red and white presentation. The upholstery particularly showcases the custom style quite well with an expertly intertwined two-tone that includes contrast piping and multiple tuck-and-roll style inserts. And this is even set up for modern R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) There's a nice cruiser feeling to the full package because you have a stock-style setup that's updated with well-placed auxiliary readouts and a Hurst floor shifter.

Under the hood is the best of vintage and new. After all, if you're a Ford fan, it's hard to beat the famous 239 cubic-inch flathead V8. And everything from the carb to the dual 90-degree radiator lines give a clean update to this vintage style. As you look closer, you'll see great upgrades like a 12-volt electrical system, alternator, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan - so this classic fits in with modern driving. The V8 fires up nicely, and the dual exhaust makes a nice tone. Plus, you are in complete control of it all thanks to the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. And when you add in the upgraded Mustang II-style front end with front disc brakes, you can really feel that this coupe loves to cruise.

Complete with maintenance records, this is the shoebox Ford coupe that has been given all the right love and flair. So if you like a complete custom cruiser, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
