STRONG 409 BIG BLOCK V8, 4-SPEED MAN, POWER FRONT DISC, POWER STEER, DUAL EXHAUST, BLACK OVER RED!

Black and red are two of the most aggressive colors around, and this 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne certainly wears them with pride. It's a true old-school street machine with four-on-the-floor and a 409 big block built by a hot rod master.

This is the car that defined a generation. The '62 not only told the world the tailfin was dead, but it also signaled that angular style was the new direction. There's even a terrific crease in the profile that looks like an arrow always pointing the car forward. So it already has some forward-thinking speedy style. This one even wants to subtly let you know it's something extra powerful with the competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and a wider rear tire set for an awesome stance. Those who might not notice these or the 409 callouts on the front fender may just see a solid cruiser. The black paint, clean sheet metal, chrome bumpers, and classic trim all show well without getting too flashy. And while the pillar-top two-door is a stronger design preferred for street machines, most people just like the look of the cool wraparound rear glass.

A red interior always looks great against the black, and it really helps to establish the right ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

A red interior always looks great against the black, and it really helps to establish the right street machine attitude. A classic bench seat, deleted rear seat, and simple floor coverings are all about a low-option and weight-saving setup that the boulevard kings had back in the day. The classic thin steering wheel, auxiliary gauge trio, and Hurst shifter will give the right performance tingle from the driver's seat. And because this is also a true classic you do get a few of the right indulgences subtly added. This includes a retro-style AM/FM stereo and a freshly reupholstered seat with stylish cloth inserts.

The engine bay is home to an icon. Chevy big blocks were the ones everyone wanted on a Saturday night back in the day, and this 409 cubic-inch V8 is so legendary that they write songs about it. It only gets better when you know this powerhouse was built by Lamar Walden Racing - someone who has been working on these big blocks since this Biscayne was new to the streets. That's why this has some of the best power upgrades like bored .60 over, stroked, 690 high-performance heads, 10.2 compression, a Comp Cams camshaft, newer rods, and topped with a large Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. And we love seeing a new aluminum radiator that helps keep this big block running cool. In fact, there are some great recent investments in upgrades that make this a better all-around driver. It includes a new power steering system, power brakes, and front discs. And the new dual exhaust really gives you a terrific big block tune. Plus, you'll feel firmly in control of the power and soundtrack thanks to the Muncie four-speed manual transmission and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. There was even a more recent upgrade to power brakes and front discs.

Complete with maintenance records, this Biscayne does a terrific job of giving you that old-school feel of a car that knew how to own the boulevard. It's true Americana with a true rumbling big block heart. Call today!!!
