With its triple-white appearance, strong drivetrain, and overall sunny personality, this 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible is always up for fun - which makes it one of the most desirable anytime classics out there for the money.
America adopted the original VW as part of the counter-culture, but this one goes a bit more upper class in its appearance. Triple-white was a more expensive option only offered towards the end of the Beetle's run (it's even believed the last Beetle drop-top was triple-white.) So we love a significant car like this. In fact, this is even a two-owner car. It has been kept in quite original condition, and the paint even shows signs of being the original application. The total presentation is complete, right down to the sport wheels. You can see in the pictures that there are areas that need improvement. But you also know from the market that this is offered at quite a value price. The idea on the exterior is to have a car you can have fun with today, and if you're not into a true survivor style, you'll have plenty of cash left over to make the enhancements and personal touches that you really want.

Under the white roof is the factory-correct white interior. So yes, the paint, top, and upholstery make this an ultra-desirable triple-white. These Super Beetles are great for having the upgraded dash layout, and this looks clean and smooth. Plus, high-back front bucket seats are all-day comfortable. There have been some solid investments here along the way, and so the upholstery and VDO gauge look newer. But nothing here ever looks out of place in a classic. Even a vintage AM/FM radio is there for display. It's all about delivering a classic fun drop-top that's easy to hop in and go for a drive whenever you want.
In fact, going for a ride is at the heart of this car's appeal. Power comes from the VW's sturdy 1600cc flat-four. It was rebuilt in the 1990s, but it looks far fresher because it has not seen heavy use since. Also, those who like to do home maintenance and upgrades will be happy to see that this has been returned to a carbureted setup. The motor is linked to the sturdy and versatile four-speed manual transmission, which allows you to get the most out of the engine. The Super Beetle also means an improved steering box, bigger brakes, and an updated front suspension. So for those who want to drive their classics, this is one of the nicest ways to experience a vintage drop-top VW.
This convertible is fun on day one. Plus, its low-ownership and survivor-style pedigree are irresistible. Call today!!!
