283 V8, 2-SPEED POWERGLIDE, PWR STEER/BRAKES, DUAL EXHAUST, READY 2 CRUISE, A+!

Sure, a wagon is versatile, but that's not what has grabbed your attention. This 1960 Chevrolet Impala Nomad is a high-style two-tone classic with a ton of original appeal, right down to the V8 power under the hood.

The two-tone red and black is a more modern application that has some nice clearcoat luster. But this wagon doesn't need big shine to attract attention, because so few people have seen a 1960 Nomad. One of the reasons why these are a rare sight today is because station wagons were often the pricy ones in the car line, and the Nomad was Chevy's premium example. So in 1960 only the Corvette was more expensive than this Nomad! And when you paid extra, you also got elegance. Wraparound bumpers, symmetrical front end with the headlights boldly out in front, and the airplane-inspired side trim that signaled we were firmly in the jet age - it's all part of a very distinct package today. And our favorite original piece has to be the trim that starts at the front door, and it doesn't stop until it wraps around the rear and onto the tailgate. It's one of the most daring forms ever put to sheetmetal, and it remains looking crisp on this wagon today. It's a great total vintage ... Please ask for the full description.

It's a great total vintage appearance everywhere you look, from the wraparound rear glass to the whitewall tires.

Inside is a vintage and absolutely eye-catching setup with intricate detail. We especially like the red seats with white trim and houndstooth cloth inserts. And the door panels match, too! Plus, the red carpeting, red dash, and white headliner deliver a full uniform package. You've got the big cargo area that makes this quite a practical classic, especially if you like spending the day at events like car shows or ballgames. Chevy's full sized cars came with a terrific driver setup this year with an artful dual-spoke steering wheel and the full round gauge package looks absolutely sporty. Plus, there are well-integrated upgrades like the cup holder center console and provisions for R134a air conditioning.

Under the hood is an era-correct 283 cubic-inch V8. This looks exceptionally correct: from the Chevy orange on the block to the big air topper. So it should be no surprise this is believed to be the original powerplant. It has also received the right maintenance, like new hoses, wires, and belt. And there's even a large aluminum radiator. It makes for a smooth-running motor that's nicely matched with a smooth-shifting Powerglide automatic transmission. Plus, with power steering and power brakes, this Nomad is a true cruiser.

This Chevy offers extra versatility and distinction, so if you're looking for that ideal memorable and useful classic, don't let this rare wagon slip away. Call today!!!
