Owner's Manual |
From day one it has been an easy bet that the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car would be a highly desirable collectable. Built with an eye towards the other classic pace cars before it, they have a distinct look, are loaded with features, and were done in limited numbers. And it only gets better on one of the rarest versions around with barely 1,800 miles on its odometer.
2010 was a milestone year in many ways. It was the return of the Camaro with the first year for the 5th gen. It was also the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. So these pace cars are extra special with their Centennial Era official logo decals. And this one is rare. There were only 245 consumer cars made for the dealer in the US and Canada, of those only 45 were made in Canada. And this is 1 of only 20 from that batch. But this coupe is much more than just a rare special edition. Inferno Orange is a terrific color that we all can't help but think of the iconic Hugger Orange. The difference there's more aggressive red tones and a deeper metallic element in the newer paint. So while this color will always be ingrained in our history, you'll see how much more intimidating it is every time you park next ... Please ask for the full description.

So while this color will always be ingrained in our history, you'll see how much more intimidating it is every time you park next to a Hugger car. Of course, the white rally stripe package is another big part of making this a modern-day icon. Add in the fact, that this rare edition has always been treated like a classic since day one - with just 1,801 miles on the odometer. Now you know you've got a true rarity in a museum-quality presentation.
Step inside, and this coupe has the same iconic and aggressive attitude stitched into the interior, literally. The premium upholstery on this Camaro SS means the bright orange paint wraps around the doors and runs across the dashboard. The higher packaging also came with leather seats with orange inserts and stitching. Plus, you are reminded of how special this one is again by the distinct Indy 500 patches stitched into the headrests. This is a retro car, so that means blending old and new styles together. The three-spoke steering wheel feels grippy in your hands, and it offers a clear view of the deeply recessed gauges that are a modern take on the round dials in an early Camaro. Auxiliary gauges are down low on the console where they belong. They blend nicely with modern touches like the air conditioning and radio controls. Plus, this one is loaded with keyless entry, power windows, power seats, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, and a kicking AM/FM/XM/CD/iPod stereo. A modern classic also means modern safety features like the dual front airbags, side air bags, and ABS.
The original motor looks fantastic with a factory-fresh look and the engine cover painted to match the exterior orange. The 6.2-liter fuel-injected V8 of the SS trim is a truly terrific powerhouse. They are everyday comfortable, especially with the six-speed automatic transmission. But these also come to play where a quick kick-down can unleash the full 400 horsepower beast and its terrific exhaust growl. So while this one has nearly impossibly low mileage, we also know it will be hard resisting adding to the odometer. Power steering, Brembo four-wheel disc brakes, and a modern fully-independent performance suspension means this is a total package that will feel great on any road.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a desirable modern classic kept in collectable condition from day one. You know how you wish locked away a pristine '67 or '69 pace car because of how much they're worth today. So don't let this modern opportunity pass you by. Call now!
