This 1974 Volkswagen Beetle is an all-around well-maintained classic. It's coming out of a VW specialist's shop showing gloss paint, a clean vintage interior, and a strong-running flat-four. So it all makes for that kind of sturdy and easy-to-love Bug that you've been searching for.
The Apollo White on this car is quite bright. You can tell there was an investment here later in because the clearcoat luster gives some added definition to the rounded curves. More than paint, this one appears well-respected and maintained with the completeness and presentation of the details. The bumpers shine bright, the glass is clear, the weather-stripping is good, and the tires are brand new. And speaking of tires, those sport wheels are always a nice option, and these look correct, right down to the center cap. It's all part of the car's clean and detailed presentation.
A black interior is a good choice against a white exterior. This feels authentic, with most of the components looking original and/or authentic for the car. Description
So you have the right details, like the Wolfsburg crest on the steering wheel, single VDO gauge, and high-back front bucket seats that feel quite comfortable. We also rarely see pieces like the classic AM/FM radio still working like it is here.
In the rear is the classic Volkswagen powerplant. This 1600cc motor was the largest displacement from the series, and this is the desirable one with dual port heads and a dual relief case. The motor is famous for being hardy, and the way this one fires up and runs reaffirms the feeling of proper care. Having a rear-wheel-drive vehicle with the engine over the back makes for the right weight distribution and better power delivery. It doesn't make the Beetle a sports car, but it does give it that feeling of a clever package out on the road. And the control of a four-speed manual transmission means you and the machine feel like a team getting the most out of the motor.
This is vintage motoring you'll truly enjoy, but only if you're quick enough to catch this Bug. Call today!!!
