POWERED BY A 400 V8, 3-SPEED AUTO TRANS, FRONT DISC, DUAL SIDE PIPES, 5-WINDOW!!

With plenty of V8 power on display and a matte black style, you would expect this 1931 Ford 5-Window to be quite a mean machine. But once you take a look at the two-tone interior, you'll see a level of comfort not often seen in these classic custom coupes.

This coupe has a desirable steel body, and the flat black paint sets the tone nicely for a true old-school machine. After all, the matte finish has plenty of attitude, and it's done with the look that makes this a fearless driver. There's plenty of classic hot rod fun with the bright grille guard, deleted fenders, windshield visor, and bright five-spoke racing wheels with wide drag tires in the rear. In fact, the whole car looks like a side character from American Graffiti. And there's even a vinyl top insert and a fiberglass hood that comes with the sale. But pieces like the crystal clear headlights clue you in on how this classic is a bit more modern and thoughtful than the average street machine.

With an exterior that looks so old-school mean, those who peek inside will be quite surprised to see such bright and modern comfort. You don't have to be a Vols fan to appreciate the detailed two-tone. The seats have an impressive ... Please ask for the full description.

The seats have an impressive style with bright orange textured inserts and orange piping, and the door panels were done to match. The carpeting, steering wheel, and headliner all coordinate, too. There are plenty of amenities that you don't get on most other hot rods, like power windows and an AM/FM/CD stereo with an aux input to plug in the satellite radio receiver. This even has provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You'll slip behind the sports steering wheel on a tilt column. And everything from the full crisp gauge package in the dash to the B&M ratchet shifter on the floor means this was built to be a driver.

A hot rod needs proper V8 power, and so they grabbed one of the largest small blocks around: the 400 cubic-inch V8. It has a good look with polished components like the air grabber, alternator, compressor, water pump, and Edelbrock valve covers. The motor has been enhanced with performance upgrades such as Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performer intake, and aluminum heads. There are also good supporting components, like the Accel HEI distributor and aluminum radiator with electric fan. The V8 fires up readily, and headers feed directly into the side pipes for a terrific growl. It's a healthy power package that likely even has a mild cam. And the three-speed automatic transmission connects to a low-geared rear end for quick take-offs. The split wishbone front end, ladder bar rear w/coilovers, and front disc brakes complete a solid hot rod package.
