TUNED 6.0L BITURBO V12, 5SPD AUTO, 54,460 MILE, RUN/DRIVE VERY WELL, GR8 LOOKING

This 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG is a car that makes no compromises. You have a sleek exterior with a power folding hardtop; a leather-lined interior with every feature you want; and a handcrafted twin-turbo V12 that has been upgraded by experts for even more power. And it's all in a low-mileage and one-owner package. It's exactly why the best luxury and performance machines always stay in demand.

We love this generation Mercedes SL because it introduced us to a car that never forced a hard choice. After all, you don't have to commit to having a beautiful coupe or a sporty convertible for any long period, because this one switches between the two with the touch of a button. But there's something more here. The SL65 AMG costs about twice the standard SL of its day, and that was for a very good reason. It was the top-dog in the hierarchy, and twice the cost also got you twice the horsepower. And they gave this car its own attitude with wider flares, sharper angles, and quad exhaust pipes. It's nothing overly done that takes away from an elegant Mercedes, but just the right amount to show off something special. That's why this one-owner car has also been kept in top condition. The ...

The Pewter paint loves to highlight the tight-fitting lines that command admiration. It shows off both the build quality of a Benz and a car that has averaged only about 3,400 miles annually. And on a thoughtfully built car like this, everything harmonizes with this metallic paint. You see it from the radio antenna to the special three-piece AMG 19-inch wheels. It shows off the precision style that was well over six figures when new, and still looks that expensive today... and that doesn't even include the Renntech upgrade (more on that in a moment.)

The gray interior is part of the attractive and coordinated full color package. So you'll happily take down the roof to show off how everything goes together like the best European fashion ensemble. But as good as this one looks with the roof off, you can also tell by the quality that this example has never stayed open to the world for too long. The SL has always been about luxury accommodations for two. There's a long list of features, like power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, dual airbags, side airbags, dual-zone automatic A/C climate control, and an AM/FM/CD stereo infotainment system w/DVD navigation. The front bucket seats are 12-way power-adjustable, and include both heat and ventilation (always nice in a drop-top.) You also have a power adjusting steering column and paddle shifters. Plus, true luxury rarities like massaging seats and radar-guided cruise control really make it easy to get comfortable for the long haul.

The V12 German cars are the coveted ones in the upper echelon circles, and it's not just about having the prestige of the badging. These motors have this terrific well of torque that moves this car effortlessly, even if you're accelerating into triple-digit speeds. It makes these true grand touring machines, and if you've experienced one, then you know the difference. This 6.0-liter BiTurbo motor comes from the hand-built AMG line. They are built with a level of robustness that has made Mercedes famous. It only gets better with a Renntech ECU upgrade. Now there's a dyno sheet that shows this putting down 551 horsepower and 699 ft-lb of torque at the rear wheels! These have a fully independent suspension built for the autobahn, and so they are made to handle big power with effortless grace. The same goes for the five-speed automatic transmission. Plus, you have four-wheel power disc brakes, ABS, a limited-slip rear, and grippy Michelin sport tires.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, receipts, dyno sheet, and a copy of the window sticker. This is the full package of absolute luxury and serious performance. So don't miss out, call today!
