Rare and sought-after by Jeep enthusiasts, this 1981 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler is fun and different than most Jeeps seen today. Jeep introduced the CJ-8 Scrambler in 1981. The Scrambler featured a 103.5-inch wheelbase and measured 177.3 inches from bumper to bumper - more than 22 inches longer than a CJ-7. The doors and the hardtop are removable just like a CJ7, but the Scrambler, with its longer wheelbase, offers more cargo space and a smoother ride. This rare CJ8 has some quality upgrades that include a newer chrome grill, chrome front bumper, plastic fender well guards, headlight and running light brush guards, fog lamps, chrome rear bumper and custom real wood stake-side planks. The interior features bucket seats custom upholstered with real cow hides that stay comfy when the sun shines on them, tilt steering column and factory air conditioning that will need servicing. There is also a handy lockbox center console that can hold items when you are not in the truck.
Highlights:
• First year of the CJ8 Scrambler
• Rare – only 8,355 produced in 1981
• 258 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine
