This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko tribute not only has a 427ci V8, but it also has the four-speed, upgraded suspension, and a wicked rumble So while it has the sleek look of a quality Yenko car, you'll love the fact that it has the true performance to be a truly worthy tribute.
We all love a car with a story to tell, and this one starts with a labor of love. The consignor has had this Camaro since he was a teenager. Then about five years ago he decided to give it a comprehensive restoration/transformation. The bold red has an excellent gloss and shine. Before the first drop of paint went down on the body, they made sure that the body panels were super-straight and attractive. Everything was given the right attention from newer rubber seals to bumpers that shine like mirrors. That's the level of investment and care you get on a cherished car. Plus, this has been upgraded with the cool blackout trim on the SS stinger stripe, chin spoiler, grille, and rear panel. And we know you've definitely noticed the upgrade to the 1968-correct Yenko twin-scoop hood. It's an aggressive touch, and together with 427 badges, it announces something special under the hood.

We were told the interior restoration was completed two years ago, and the freshness on the seats, carpets, door panels, and headliner reinforce the feeling of a solid recent investment. The interior is quite clean and complete, but you might notice some features missing. It would be easy to add features like a radio or a center console, but this one stays away from that. The Yenko cars came with as few options as possible to keep the eight down and maximize performance. That's why your real notable features are all driver-oriented. That means an auxiliary gauge trio under the dash, a large tach prominently on the steering column, and a Hurst shifter on the floor.
The factory didn't give you 427 cubic-inch, but Don Yenko would. The big V8 fills the engine bay with its bold orange block. It's said that there are only 1k miles since the motor rebuild was completed, and the overall tidy presentation reaffirms this feeling. But while you'll admire the style, what you'll really love is that the full build is made for power. The pistons are at 11:1 compression, and it has go-fast goodies like a four-barrel carburetor, high rise intake, and long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust. The full package is estimated at 450-500 hp, and you have complete control over it all with the Borg Warner super T10 four-speed manual transmission. Plus, you have the right pieces you want in a vintage muscle machine, like front disc brakes, subframe connectors, rear traction bars, and a Moser 12-bolt rear end. It makes for a powerful build that also has a solid/confident feeling on the road.
Power and poise come together in a bold red tribute to one of the baddest Camaros around. And in a package this fresh, you know this is an irresistible Yenko tribute. Call now!
