This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is both a restomod and a racecar for the road. That's because the investments in this one are about both beauty and power. You have Shelby-style upgrades, a detail-oriented interior, race-ready components, a powerful V8, four-wheel disc brakes, and an awesome two-tone color scheme inside and out. So look over all the details, because this is a thoughtfully done coupe made to impress.
The red paint has the vibrant look of a quality application, and the high-gloss finish shows off the fastback's sleek lines that make it an icon. And you can also tell they made sure to have the panels looking their best before laying down the paint. It has a ton of the right upgrades to make it look like a performance pony. There's plenty of Shelby GT350R style with the open front facia that allows for PIAA racing halogen fog lights and billet grilles. And there's more of the snake-bitten pony style in the fiberglass hood with scoop and side air scoops. Plus, the full over the top racing stripes are painted on for a crisp and clean style. We also love how the rear reminds us of the later GT350s with the integrated rear spoiler and Thunderbird tail lamps. But don't call ... Please ask for the full description.

But don't call this one a Shelby replica, because it has plenty of its own style, too. Everything from the 17-inch Ridler wheels to the Jaguar gas flap shows that this one just incorporates whatever upgrade best to add both style and substance.
There's more red and white that awaits you inside. A solid investment here makes sure it's a nice place to spend some time. There are some premium touches, like the wood paneling on the dash, deluxe door panels, and of course, everyone takes note of the deluxe "pony" pattern on the seatbacks. You'll even like the little things like how the full courtesy light package greets you when the door opens. Plus, this has the added comfort of an alpine AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth. But your favorite pieces are all about a performance driver. Your left hand will love the wood-rimmed steering wheel, and your right one will never want to leave the Hurst shifter. You now have a large Stewart Warner tach and oil pressure readout added to the center of the dash for a classic-style head-up display. There's even a proper roll bar for added strength, and the trunk has the fuel cell and Optima battery for better weight distribution.
Open the hood, and slick red inner fenders and firewall really funnel your attention to the hardy heart in the middle. This is a 302 cubic-inch that's dressed to impress the Shelby crowd. It has the Cobra air cleaner, matching Cobra valve covers, and a proper Monte Carlo bar. And painting the block red is another one of those great touches that tell you this is made just as much for show as it is for go. The V8 is a serious performance build with 351 heads, 194 valves, roller rockers, flat top pistons, a high-volume oil pump, Canton Racing oil pan, and topped with a four-barrel carburetor. The Hooker headers add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. You have complete control of the power and growling soundtrack thanks to the toploader four-speed manual transmission. It feeds a stout Ford 9-inch limited-slip rear. As you look at the undercarriage pictures, you can see it's a clean build with terrific suspension upgrades like Global West front end, subframe connectors, caltracs bars, KYB shocks, and Unisteer rack & pinion power steering. And everything from the rear power cutoff to the fresh air ducts for each disc brake show you how competition-ready this one really is. But this is not a pure track day machine. It's a powerful pony, but it has the kind of controlled feel that is still a lot of fun on the streets.
This Mustang fastback has been upgraded with all that you could want for podium-finish performance and award-worthy style. So if you're ready for the best of everything, your ideal restomod is here. Call now!
