This 1988 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 seems to celebrate the best of customized Jeeps. After all, there's a cool look of the CJ exterior, a big investment in off-road ready equipment, and it even follows the tradition of a big power upgrade to a 383 stroker motor.
There's a lot of mean and beefy style to the exterior, but first we'd like to appreciate the upgraded style this represents. The late 1980s was a time of big change at Jeep. The CJ series that started after WWII was finally put to rest, and the YJ Wrangler picked up the torch. So it's pretty cool to have a Wrangler from this era pay tribute to its ancestors by being re-skinned to be a classic CJ. The grille, hood, full doors, and hardtop are all instantly recognizable as the vintage style. And if you want to be a bit more modern, you can also fit the included half doors and take off the roof to show the custom color-matched roll cage. And history aside, this one looks ready to take on anything. The is a custom front bumper with a Warn winch, Metalcloak fenders, Metalcloak rock sliders with step bar, and upgraded headlights and LEDs that know how to turn night into day. Plus, that awesome suspension lift also showcases the Raceline beadlock wheels. And no matter if your adventure is on or off the pavement, the later upgrade to a deep red metallic paint will get this one noticed.
We like how the interior is a mix of handy features and comfortable upgrades. After all, ARB on-board air compressor, the cleanly mounted fuel cell, clean rear with durable carpeting, and mounted fire extinguisher are all quite useful. But this also has features you don't get in every off-road-ready machine like an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, an armrest center console, and provisions for air conditioning. It will need servicing to blow cold again. You even have a touchscreen controller for the accessories and lights. The mix of comfort and versatility really comes together on the upgrade to Mastercraft Baja bucket seats. And with the upgraded steering wheel on a tilt column, B&M shifter, and full AutoMeter Ultra-Lite II gauges, the driver's seat is a true command position.
When you look under the hood, the Chevrolet callouts on the valve covers and air grabber let you know this is a tidy and powerful upgrade. We're told this is a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor, and it certainly feels like it has that power. It also includes performance additions like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and aluminum heads. It also has the right hardy supporting components, like an HD oil pump, a separate oil cooler, a Mallory ignition, a March performance pulley kit, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. This makes sure it's a true off-road leader with upgrades like an Atlas twin-shift 4x4 transfer case, custom tubed shock hoops installed with Fox shocks, flipped torsion bars, Maxxis Trepador tires, and Yukon locking differentials with air lockers. A custom Jeep like this knows how to have fun riding around in town, too, and so they made sure it feels easy with features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
You're looking at a custom Jeep with a cool sense of history and an awesome list of powerful off-road upgrades. It makes for an awesome total package you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
