SHARP MONTE CARLO SS, 305 V8, AUTO TRANS, POWER STEER/FRONT DISC, DUAL EXHAUST!!

This 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS like this is truly an interesting vehicle. It is one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a classic personal coupe. And this example has a cool story that makes this well-kept coupe an even more interesting V8 cruiser.

The paperwork on this car makes it quite interesting. This was a factory car ordered by a General Motors employee, and since they got preferred pricing, it needed to go through the Central Office for the production order. That technically makes this a COPO car. So feel free to park next to a Yenko Camaro at the next Chevy event! There were handfuls of cars like this ordered back in the day because employee pricing was a nice thing to have, but the difference here is that this person took the time to keep the documents. So it tells you this coupe started with someone involved at GM and her/she took pride in the product. And as you dig into the details, you're going to see it was likely a special purchase because of the level of feature-filled comforts. This car's distinction starts with the style. The Monte Carlo SS was one of the most distinctive Chevys of its day because of the NASCAR-inspired aerodynamic front end. It kicked ... Please ask for the full description.

It kicked off a sleek style, and at the same time, still held the clean lines of established luxury. So there has been a perpetual desire for these that make them great classics. And since the low odometer is believed to represent the full actual mileage (averaging just over 100 miles annually) you can still crisply see great details like the crease that starts on the special front and arcs all the way through the door. Plus, 1985 was the first year it was available in Silver Metallic. There was a solid investment in a refresh so that it has the sharp look of a weekend drive. And all the best details are in place, like the distinct factory alloys, ducktail rear spoiler, and the cool red and black decal package that encircles the car.

The maroon fabric interior looks terrific against the exterior. The seats, door panels, dash, and headliner look particularly well presented for a quality look to the fundamentals. In fact, you can just tell the added care that comes with this one by the extras you get, like a dash cover, a radio faceplate, weather-stripping, sun visors, and SS floor mats. And while this has the clean and comfortable look of a low-mileage coupe, this is also meant to be a true driver. The front buckets provide good bolstering, but still give the same all-day comfort you expect in any Monte Carlo. Plus, there's an armrest center console for added relaxation. There are nice options like the factory AM/FM stereo, cruise control, a rear defogger, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The driver faces a black factory performance steering wheel with a bold SS horn ring. It's on a tilt column to get a good view of the sporty full gauge package that includes a tach.

Since the car has looked so stock and correct thus far, it's great to lift the hood and see such a correct presentation of the 305 cubic-inch V8. This is the High Output model with a four-barrel carburetor on top. That makes for a solid torque-filled package back in the day, and good care meant that you still get that proper power feeling today. And as you look underneath, you can see that they took the time more recently to upgrade this to a true full dual exhaust. So it exhales with the right power and authority you want in a V8 Super Sport. But the real point of this car is how it's a great all-around cruiser. The four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive makes this classic also a fantastic highway cruiser. The suspension is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's luxury coupe origins underneath, and there's also power steering, power brakes, and front discs.

The sale comes complete with the cool COPO window sticker, the owner's manual packet, a car cover, and plenty of new spare components to keep this car's level of care going. This is a great Chevy coupe for those who want to collect something special. Call today!!!
