This truck looks like it has the right mix of care and the right investments. It starts with how straight the panels are on this long bed pickup. It's another reminder of how useful this classic also is. And you can get long haul comfortable with front bucket seats, fold-down armrests, power lumbar adjustment, and a tilt steering column. And the stereo is now an AM/FM/CD unit with USB, Bluetooth, and an adjustable/movable subwoofer for the best in modern driving music.

The massive 7.3-liter diesel motor was borrowed from International Harvester. And they have a long-standing, nearly bulletproof reputation. So while it's unknown if the odometer reflects the full mileage, it seems immaterial because of the way this one knows how to chug along. It's rare to have a five-speed manual transmission with a large diesel motor. But the benefit is you are in complete control of your power and economy. Plus, with power steering, power brakes, and front discs, this can be a true anytime driver.

It's kind of nice when you can have more distinction than a new truck, comparable ability, and spend a ton less. There are some details you may want to do like update the tires, service the air conditioning, or polish the headlights.
