The engine pairs with a 4-speed automatic 4L60E transmission and exhales into a dual exhaust leading out to an aftermarket muffler that gives this Chevy a nice, throaty sound. Because the Impala SS shares a common lineage to its stablemate the Caprice's police configuration, it also features a sport-tuned suspension to give it increased agility, while 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors bring its set of 17" wheels wrapped with Nitto tires showing plenty of tread to fade-resistant stops.
