Description

350 CUBIC INCH SMALL BLOCK V8, 4-SPEED AUTO TRANS, POWER STEER/FRONT DISC, DUAL EXHAUST, SLICK PAINT

While the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been the automotive equivalent of McDonald's and Burger King of Pony Cars for the last sixty or so years, that doesn't mean they are your only options when it comes to the Golden Age of muscle cars. Take, for example, this classic 1969 Pontiac Firebird. While originally coded 76 – Goldenrod Yellow, its fresh, new red and black exterior is nothing short of stunning up close. The vinyl hardtop compliments the Ram Air Trans Am hood and spoiler to help this Firebird burn just a little brighter, whether it's cruising down Woodward Avenue or just to the nearest drive-thru.

Step inside this Firebird, and you'll be engulfed in a sea of darkness. Black vinyl seats, black carpeting, black door panels, and a black roof liner all help keep your focus on the original tach and speedometer sitting front and center. In fact, this car looks completely stock except for the three additional white-faced analog gauges sitting just below the original AM/FM stereo.

Pop the hood, and a period-correct YE-coded small-block Chevy 350 V-8 will make you smile quicker than you can say "Happy Meal." Originally rated at 265 hp, this motor sports an Edelbrock intake, Holley four-barrel carburetor, Hooker long tube headers, and sweet-sounding Flowmaster exhaust to help bump those ponies up a bit. Power is then sent through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and on through a ten-bolt rear end. At all four corners, beautiful 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wait, shod in 215/65R-15 rubber, to try and put as much of that power to the pavement as possible.

HIGHLIGHTS:
*Fresh paint

*Period correct 350 V8

*700R4 four speed auto

*Edelbrock intake

*Holley carb

*Hooker long tube headers

*15 inch American Racing wheels

*Rear sway bar

*Power brakes

*Original stereo

Not willing to be a one trick pony(car), this Firebird also has a rear sway bar, coil spring/shock front-end suspension (leaf springs/shocks at the rear), as well as power disc front and power drum rear brakes to help it turn and stop almost as well as it can hunker down a haul. So, while others are bickering back and forth about the same old McDonald's/Burger King Ford versus Chevy debate, hop in this 1969 Pontiac Firebird and head on down to Wendy's, grab a baked potato and a Frosty, and revel in the fact that you've got it better than all of them!
