FUEL INJECTED 3.0 LITER TURBOCHARGED DIESEL, 4-SPEED AUTO TRANS, POWER STEER/4-WHEEL DISC, CRUSIER!!

This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300 SD was one of the most interesting cars of its time. After all, the S-Class was arguably the ultimate symbol of wealth and supremacy in the power-hungry 1980s. However, a turbodiesel like this also shows that you were not a person of excess. It represented the refined taste of comfortable stability, and that feeling has only matured with a vintage example that is a well-preserved example of vintage luxury.

Few cars have a more commanding road presence than an S-Class Mercedes. They have the large size and sturdy lines where it just feels like traffic is parting just to clear the way for you. The factory-correct Ascot Gray paint was given a later respray to make sure the precision-formed German sheet metal continues to look good. We like its harmonizing color coordination with the gray lower section to give this the look of a thoughtful driver. The level of brightwork is refined where it adds emphasis in the right places, like the 15-inch wheel, clean bumpers, and imposing yet iconic grille. The overall impression is an upper-class sedan that has been driven responsibly. Sort of like it only left the estate on its weekly run to pick up some more Grey ... Description

Sort of like it only left the estate on its weekly run to pick up some more Grey Poupon. And the reality is even more interesting because the history reports suggest this lives out west for about 35 years. Plus, the mileage is likely (although unconfirmed) to be accurate... and for a Mercedes diesel that feels like it's just getting warmed up.

The interior continues the S-Class tradition of loaded top-level luxury. The full blue package looks great against the exterior gray, and this shows an exceptional level of preservation. That means nice leather, plush carpeting, and beautiful wood with a glossy finish. This is meant to remain a true driver, and you have thick rubber mats protecting the front floor and some creases in the driver's seat. So it feels like the kind of car you can hop in on a whim and go for a road trip. Another reason why it's such a great cruiser is its level of features. This includes a sunroof, power windows, power locks, and automatic A/C climate control. Even the Becker Grand Prix radio is still your stereo. It's something real Mercedes fans love, and they even rebuilt this one so you can have an aux input to keep the classic style while getting to utilize modern music players. The driver's seat power adjusts to your ideal command position, and crisp/clean instruments are a hallmark of M-B cars, and the whole experience behind the wheel is like piloting a first-class luxury liner.

Under the hood is what makes the 300 SD so desirable. The Mercedes diesel motors are the true high mileage kings. They have one of the best reputations for robustness in the industry, and the way this one fires up and runs tells you it wants to uphold its stature. This 3.0-liter turbocharged unit seen here was one of the most powerful versions they ever offered for the series. These have never been speed demons, but you already knew that. Their true value is that this was built to be an effortless cruiser. That's why you have cruise control, power steering, and a smooth-shifting four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. And because this was up to the autobahn standards, you also have the confidence of a fully independent suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes.

The sale comes complete with nice paperwork like the original window sticker, owner's manual packet, and maintenance records. This car elevates everywhere you arrive because it embodies the best of a premium and robust executive-level Mercedes. So you know you can't miss this deal. Call today!!!
