6.2L SUPERCHRGD V8, 6 SPD TRANS, MODERN POWER/FEATURES, RUNS/DRIVES STRONG, NICE

How about an ultra-clean 2015 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS/RS 1LE Supercharged with just over 50K miles on the clock? Loaded with options, a great color combination, and a killer look that draws stares everywhere it goes? And how about the performance of an asphalt-pounding, Supercharged 6.2L liter V8 LS3 married to a quick-shifting 6-speed manual that makes this a car an absolute blast to drive? This modern muscle car Camaro is loaded to the gills with it all – style, power, performance, and a particular 'je ne sais quoi' that only modern Supercharged American sports cars possess.

The color is called Ashen Gray Metallic, and it's the kind of shade that people will stop you on the street to talk about. It's simply gorgeous, punctuated further by the Transformers-esque carbon fiber hood, flashy red wheels, and black accents scattered about the exterior. The 2SS/RS package is the best of both worlds for this V8 Camaro, with aggressive curb appeal that makes it look like it's breaking the speed limit even when it's parked. They did a great job revising the retro-looking F-body for these 5th generation line, and it keeps its chiseled good looks without looking dated. Really, could you have guessed ...

Really, could you have guessed that this slick design is now 8 years old? Add in killer styling cues like the revised front fascia and aggressive lower grille up front, the chin spoiler, beefy hood with the big scoop, and the blacked-out rear spoiler and lower panel out back, and there's just no question what kind of car this is. Obviously with so few miles on the clock it still looks superclean, with only a couple minor nicks up front and light scratches/swirls acquired from car washes serving as evidence that it's been driven at all, but it's quite clear that someone really cherished this car since new. The RS package gives the car upgraded HID and LED lamps fore and aft, not to mention the quad-exhaust tip set-up that pokes out in the back. Other than the giant hood, there's not a ton of performance advertising that goes with the car (all the SS/RS badging has been deleted), certainly nothing that gives away the organized violence of the supercharger under the hood. That's exactly how we like it though, as it provides the prime opportunity to shame any pesky Mustangs that foolishly want a taste of GM excellence delivered to them.

The interior was likewise redesigned and upgraded for more power and speed in this 5th generation of Camaros, starting with deeply bolstered leather bucket seats with perforated inserts that grab you like Velcro. SS embroidery on the headrests makes this one really stand out, just in case nobody noticed the bodywork or the exhaust note, and there's a seriously beefy leather-wrapped steering wheel with proper thumb notches at 10 and 2. Pronounced white stitching throughout the upholstery (including the dash) lends it a racy look, too, and you'll note there are throwback design cues everywhere, including auxiliary gauges down on the center console. Of course, it's still plenty comfortable to drive and everything was standard on Chevy's top-of-the-line F-body, including A/C, heated seats, cruise control, power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors, and a pretty impressive premium audio system with touch screen and navigation just to name a few. No, you won't feel like this is some bare-bones race car, it's loaded like a Lexus. There's even a reasonable back seat and even the trunk offers proper storage for those longer Power Tours.

At its heart is a 6.2 liter supercharged LS3 V8, which is descended from the famous LS1. Virtually bulletproof and designed to lap the track for hours on end, it's seriously over-built in all the right ways. Matthew Smith in York, SC did the work, adding an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger and Stage 3 ProTuner Kit in July of 2022, allowing the all-aluminum block to meet its full potential with a Dyno test of 518HPp to the rear wheels. Nail the loud pedal at any speed and the LS3 V8 lunges forward like it's hungry, with a soft supercharger whine coming from up front and a baritone bellow from the oversized pipes out back. The only transmission you want with this kind of power is a Tremec 6-speed manual (which has been upgraded with a SPEC Stage 2 clutch) and the car will pull well over 100 MPH with two-three gears to spare (depending on how long you can withstand the redline), which should give you some idea of just how fast this insane Camaro really is. The SS 1LE Performance Package includes a suspension and handling package that was designed with the track in mind, so you get a fully independent setup fore and aft with a lowered ride height, stiffer springs and shocks, and an added shock-tower brace in the engine bay that helps stiffen the car in the corners. Massive Brembo 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors are part of the package, which provide fade-free performance lap after lap, and the dark red 20-inch SS aluminum wheels wear giant 285/35/20 front and 305/35/20 rear BFGoodrich radials that are barely broken in.

A ton of bang for the buck, a reasonable choice for the person who wants performance and style, and a classic muscle car look – all in one fantastic package. Call today!
