TBI SMALL-BLOCK, 200R4 4SPD AUTO, POWER STEERING/BRAKES, RUNS WELL, GR8 LOOKIN!!

Cool grocery getter and patina finishes are both red hot right now. So it's especially awesome to have them both on this 1958 Pontiac Chieftain Safari Wagon. And since it's such a desirable style, they also made sure it's a truly cool cruiser. So you have upgrades like a fuel-injected V8, an overdrive transmission, and newer upholstery to make this one surprisingly easy to enjoy.

The design of the Pontiac Chieftain was unique for 1958, and in fact, this was a single-year generation. So it gets even more impressive when you know that only about 2900 wagons were produced. And history is what this wagon is all about. The patina looks natural, so it looks like it took decades to wear in its finish. The intricate bumpers, large grille, full-length trim, and jet-age side mirrors are all part of a package that looks quite complete. So even if you don't like patina, this is quite a straight-looking rare wagon that would make for an awesome custom car project. After all, you already have cool cruiser additions, like the Cadillac-like tail lights, a lowered stance, and 18-inch Ridler alloys.

The interior is highly original in places like the dash, metal components, and gauges. So you have ... Please ask for the full description.

After all, you already have cool cruiser additions, like the Cadillac-like tail lights, a lowered stance, and 18-inch Ridler alloys.

The interior is highly original in places like the dash, metal components, and gauges. So you have plenty of cool patina inside. But the true genius is that there are also the right investments for a proper cruiser. The carpeting, door panels, headliner, and seat upholstery have a clean, inviting style. We especially like the coordinating blue plaid cloth inserts on the seat and doors. Even the cargo area is done to match, so the two-piece tailgate looks like the ideal picnic area. And because this was made to be a true cruiser, you have good upgrades like the sports steering wheel and auxiliary readouts under the dash.

Under the hood is what makes this such a nice cruiser. It's GM's later version of the 305 cubic-inch V8 with center bolt valve covers. And this has everything from fuel injection to an overdrive transmission to help make this classic Pontiac a solid overall driver. You'll appreciate good driving features like power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern ZR-rated tires afforded by the wheel upgrade. The 1958 car also had some nice factory features, like the debut of the trailing arm rear end. So it makes for a good cruiser attitude today, and it's a great base if you want to build it up into a serious restomod driver. There's already even a rear sway bar.

Complete with an original accessories pamphlet. This is a fun, rare, and custom cruiser. So you know it's the one you want when it's time for patina and wagon distinction. Call now!
