With a custom style, full hardtop, trail-ready features, and a truly distinct style, this 1988 Jeep Wrangler is a 4x4 with style and substance. Even the powerhouse is distinctly different yet quite versatile.
The first thing you'll always notice is the front end. This is a TJ Wrangler, but the face is pure CJ cool. So while both are classics, we bet you love getting to look one generation younger while still looking exceptionally fresh. You can tell there was plenty invested in this restoration by the way the matte orange paint lets the sunlight roll so evenly across the body. The spare tire cover with the flip-flop Jeep graphic probably sets the right tone for how you'll use this one. It's the kind of 4x4 that can get you to the beach and look great. And while it looks too nice to charge up a boulder-filled hill, you may not be able to resist considering all its features. This is upgraded with a brush guard steel front bumper, integrated inch LED lights, side step rails, a trailer hitch, and big fender flares to contain the meaty tires.
This Wrangler lets you choose your level of openness. There's a full hardtop and hard doors, soft half doors, and a bikini top. So you can ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
So you can configure it to how you want to live that day. And we appreciate how the full package inside was made to be both handy and comfortable. For example, the dual Bestop bucket seats up front feel quite supportive and are done in durable cloth. Shoulder belts, grab handles, and a rhino-lined floor makes this practical. The Wrangler's ash was updated to fit everything from the AutoMeter Sport-Comp readouts to an AM/FM stereo with USB and Bluetooth.
Under the hood is one of our favorite upgrades: a 3.8-liter V6. It's a cool upgrade in a Wrangler with a CJ front end because the CJ5 used to offer this motor as the Dauntless powerhouse. And GM repurchased the tooling from Jeep to use this hardy powerhouse as the base for cars like the Regal Grand National. So it has a true history with Jeeps and hardy construction. It gets even better when you realize this motor was rebuilt in 2022, and the odometer reflects the low mileage since the rebuild. That's why the full engine bay looks so fresh. It also makes it easy to spot upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, dual electric fans, and PaceSetter headers feeding into the dual exhaust. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case works with the tall BDS lift and meaty BF Goodrich All-Terrain K02 tires to deliver serious off-road prowess. But as you look underneath this clean, low-mileage build, you also can tell it feels solid driving just about anywhere. And the five-speed manual transmission, power steering, power brake, and front discs make it easy to enjoy on or off the pavement.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and restoration photos. There's something quite cool about this CJ-styled Wrangler. So don't miss this fresh build. Call now!
