If you've been waiting for just the right Chevelle to come along, perhaps this 1972 Chevrolet "Heavy Chevy" will whet your appetite. Long-time readers know how much we love red cars, and this one offers a gorgeous Torch Red paint job and sporty bench seat interior, and is upgraded with goodies like factory A/C.
The Heavy Chevy was GM's attempt at disguising the Chevelle to hide it from the insurance companies, but with stripes and a ton of attitude, I'm not so sure how successful they were with that particular trick. One glance at the paint job and it's obvious that someone spent a pretty big pile of money getting this one into its current condition. The lovely red paint is smooth enough to use as a mirror, and it has just the right look: not too bright but not too orange or washed-out looking, either. SS stripes and a cowl-induction hood with hood pins were added at some point, and I personally like how it ties together so well with the interior. "Heavy Chevy" decals were used on the front fenders while the trunk carries a proper Chevelle badge. Up front there's a blacked-out SS-type grille up front so it certainly looks like horsepower, and both the front and rear bumpers are bright, ... Please ask for the full description.
