327 STRAIGHT 8, AUTO, PWR BRAKS, CLASSIC COLOR COMBO, RUNS & DRIVES GREAT, CLEAN

Packards were built with a high price and superior quality so that they could be driven for generation. And that kind of payoff is exactly what you see 1953 Packard Clipper Deluxe. It's a vintage and authentic sedan, right down to the smooth inline-eight motor under the hood.

Packards were set to a higher standard. Their advertising didn't bother with wild claims, and instead just recommended that people “Ask the Man Who Owns One.” You need to know that, because people will be doing the same with you in this Clipper Deluxe. After all, it has that ideal look of nostalgia that others will want, too. This feeling starts with the two-tone paint. Regimental Gray and Dresden Gray is the its factory-correct combo, and there's just a very cool sophistication about it. There is a well-kept look to the finish where some people may assume you have a well-kept survivor, but they might also pick up on the hint of modern clearcoat that give it some extra luster. This same complete and correct look goes for the full brightwork package. It's a thoughtful package with curvy chrome bumpers, blade-like tailfins, and full-length trim that loves to highlight the curve of the rear fenders. And we ... Please ask for the full description.

Their advertising didn't bother with wild claims, and instead just recommended that people "Ask the Man Who Owns One." You need to know that, because people will be doing the same with you in this Clipper Deluxe. And we know that intricate chrome front end has already captured your heart. And this example really looks complete, right down to details like the whitewall tires, fender skirts, and Packard wheel covers.

Inside, there has been a nice investment to keep this one looking like a time capsule. Plush carpeting, nicely finished door panels, a taut headliner, and the hallmark gray striped fabric create a fresh atmosphere that turns back the clock. Even the trunk is well finished for a detailed vintage look. Once again, the desire is in the details where even the factory AM radio is still on display in the center of the dash. The steering wheel has a beautiful Packard crest in the center, and beyond that, the remanufactured gauges look crisp.

A Clipper Deluxe means the upgrade to the larger 327 cubic-inch straight-eight motor. The engine bay has that honest and original appearance, which is the style people love to see on these impressively long blocks. But beyond the classic feeling, you can see there has been proper maintenance in the right places. This includes what looks like investment in the carburetor and generator. There's also the right upgrades, like a new fuel pump and 12-volt electric system. It's a strong package with a nice feeling on the road. Plus, the automatic transmission and power brakes give you that easy cruising quality you don't find in too many other early '50s classics.

Post-war Packards are always a welcomed sight because they sold in such fewer numbers compared to their other Detroit luxury competitors. So you can make the scene just by showing up in this very vintage straight-eight sedan. Call today!!!
