This 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible is an ultra-desirable first-year pony car classic presented in a distinct and stellar color combo. So you can love it for its history even before you find out about the serious fuel-injected V8 power and four-wheel disc brakes in this sleeper performance drop-top.
Even from a distance, you can recognize a solid investment in quality. The body panels look extra crisp, the chrome looks extra bright, and the details (like the wire wheels) seem extra elegant. The factory-correct Twilight Turquoise is the ideal color for this convertible. So that must be why they made such a big investment in keeping it shining. And with the white roof in place, this one has as much appeal as an ocean wave. The calm/cool color theme sets the tone perfectly for a car like this. Because underneath the skin there are some big upgrades so that you can use this as a sleeker-style classic. But even if you're not into big performance, the extra time, money and effort that went into this one also just makes it an awesome cruiser.

Description
While we love the way the white roof looks against the turquoise paint, it gets even better with just the flip of a switch. That's because when the top powers down, the teal and white interior give you more of that "island time" vibe. Just like the exterior, this inside retains both a stock and premium appearance. The seats look fresh from investment and have the deluxe "Pony" package embossed on the backs. This is built to be a true cruiser, and so they added a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette and upgraded speakers to give you better driving music. And the experience behind the wheels is upgraded, too. You have premium factory pieces, like bucket seats with a center console in-between. And now the wood-rimmed steering wheel is on a tilt column for added comfort.
While this car hides its performance within its elegance on the interior and exterior, it can't hide its beastly nature in the engine bay. Instead, it proudly displays the upgrade to a 302 cubic-inch V8 with a clean and means attitude that includes black Ford Racing valve covers and a matching air topper. Not only is the motor larger than anything the Mustang got in '65, but also this one was built for serious power. It's upgraded with ATK High Performance aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, and shorty headers. It's topped off with a full FAST electronic fuel injection system that adds both performance and consistency. As you look underneath the car you'll see a clean build that adds upgraded suspension components, added frame bracing, and a sweet-sounding X-pipe dual exhaust. It has a solid feeling out on the road, and features like power steering and three-speed automatic transmission makes it an easy cruiser. Plus, you have the superior stopping power of four-wheel power disc brakes.
Complete with owner's manual, no matter if you want this as a sleeper or a cruiser, you're going to love the big investment in this slick pony drop-top. So the only way this first-year Mustang convertible is going to disappoint is if you miss this deal. Call today!!!
