REAL DEAL, DOCUMENTED RAM AIR III JUDGE, HIGH-END RESTO, 400 WS V8, 4-SPEED, PHS

We know that guys buying cars like this 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air III are going to ask tough questions, and fortunately, this car is up to the scrutiny. Matching numbers, extremely well-maintained, accurately restored, and with a factory build sheet plus PHS documentation, there are no worries about it being a fake. In short, if you want a 1969 Judge, this one will meet your expectations, no matter how high they are.

Carousel Red was Pontiac's name for their signature Judge color and there's no doubt that this is one high-visibility muscle car. The Judge actually started out as a low-cost response to the low-cost performance twins from Mopar, but in truth, it became a halo model that defined the brand, then and now. And with that in mind, this one was carefully restored to better-than-new condition. The paint is exceptional, with a fantastic shine and excellent surface prep underneath, so there are no waves or ripples, and a lot of time went into making sure everything lined up just right. You can see how well the hood fits, which was often problematic with the Endura front bumper, and the doors fit so well that we don't think this car has ever been raced or wrecked.

Speaking of the Endura bumper, it's in very good condition but shows a few very minor stress cracks, but those are the most notable flaws on the whole car. Correct decals were installed to highlight the fender line and the bright trim was all refinished before being reinstalled. This is a very crisp-looking Judge.

The all-business black interior has all the features you'd want in your high-end Judge: bucket seats, center console, 4-speed gearbox, and upgraded factory A/C. It was comprehensively restored, with fresh seat covers that accurately reproduce the factory look, new black carpets, and correct door panels with GTO emblems. A woodgrained wheel warms up the all-black driver's compartment and gives a great view of the gauges, which look great, including, of course, the hood-mounted tach, which is probably the coolest gauge of all time. A set of auxiliary gauges was stashed under the dash in the usual fashion and the A/C system is backed with new hardware under the hood so it's effective and reliable. There's also an AM/FM radio and a tilt wheel, making this a very well-optioned Judge that's a pleasure to drive. The trunk is also correctly restored with a full-sized spare with a new cover and matching mat.

That's the original, numbers-matching 400 cubic inch V8 and with a WS code, it is definitely a Ram Air III. Beautifully detailed with a correct air cleaner and foam gasket, Pontiac Turquoise paint on the block, and chrome valve covers, the restoration was nicely done. The modern A/C compressor and alternator, as well as a giant aluminum radiator up front help ensure reliability and can be easily returned to stock condition if hitting the show circuit is more your style. It's also got a new power brake booster and dual master cylinder and the exhaust system is new, including the stainless X-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. The 4-speed manual transmission feeds a robust 10-bolt rear end and you can see that the restoration spared no expense, as the underside is as tidy as the engine bay. Classic Rally II wheels weren't standard on the Judge but they should have been because everyone opted for them anyway, and these carry 245/60/14 BFGoodrich radials all around.

Complete with PHS documentation and the original build sheet, this is a very high-quality Judge that's ready to cruise or show. Call now!
