A well-priced and well-preserved 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am has an instant appeal. But the more aggressive style that this one shows also hints at a few key upgrades that make it an even better driver.

This was the final year for the Trans Am, and that's unfortunate because Pontiac really had the T/A's style dialed-in. The front end was the perfect mix of aggressive sharp-edge points and well-creased lines. The profile was sleek with just the right amount of fender flair. Plus, the rear spoiler was a terrific piece that took up the whole rear hatch to rise up and show off its sporty nature. This is a well-preserved example everywhere from the Bright Silver Metallic paint to the 16-inch alloys, but you can also see there have been some nice investments in custom distinction. The hood is a lightweight fiberglass unit that was color-matched to the factory paint, and it arguably has a more aggressive style than even Pontiac's WS6 units. And the darkened rear diffuser seems to make the polished quad exhaust tips really pop in the sunlight.
