Description
This Grabber Orange 1970 Mach 1 features a host of welcome performance upgrades. Under the hood of this classic muscle car is Ford's powerfully famous 351 "Cleveland" V-8 that has been fitted with an Edelbrock aluminum intake topped with a Holley carburetor breathing through a chrome open-element air cleaner. Additionally, there is an upgraded ignition system and a set of Ford Performance aluminum valve covers. The battery had been relocated to the trunk for better weight distribution and allows more space in the clean engine bay. A new dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers makes this Mach 1 sound like the muscle car it is. The transmission has been upgraded as well to a 5-speed manual with Hurst shifter that delivers power to a 9-inch rear end.
The Mach 1 was always considered a good handling car and highly successful in Trans Am racing when modified new. This Mach I's suspension has also been modified with upgrades that include a refreshed front end that features a Total Control rack & pinion system fed by a high-volume power steering pump. Big sway bars and strut tower braces are in place for enhanced rigidity. Front disc brakes assist with braking. A set of chrome 15" Magnum 500 wheels fitted with B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A white lettered tires ad to the aggressive look of this classic muscle car. Other classic Ford muscle car styling ques such a black hood scoop, hood pins, front spoiler and rear glass louvers look fantastic on this 1970 Mustang Mach 1.
