Even the attention-grabbing shining components add to the function, like all the extra bracing, Ford Racing valve covers, and aluminum radiator. This is a well-built V8 with Edelbrock heads, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and long tube stainless headers. That last feature not only adds power, but also it contributes to the roar of the FlowMaster dual exhaust. Best of all, you have full control over this monster motor's full powerband and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the toploader four-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear end that's geared for good all-around performance. And speaking of this coupe's versatility, the suspension has been upgraded, too. The rear is supported by thick traction bars. Up front is a thick sway bar, newer urethane bushings, and a Wilwood disc brake upgrade.
